One Day, Two-Day or Online Administrator Training on the
Gómez and Gómez Elementary and/or Secondary DLE Model
Description: This 1 or 2-day administrator In-Person Training or Online Training emphasizes research on Dual Language Enrichment (DLE), and how DLE can effectively educate ELLs (and non-ELLs) district-wide, close the academic gap, and increase long-term achievement and graduation rates. Trainings share an overview of DLE Model(s) and enrichment (GT) best practices embedded in the Gómez & Gómez Elementary & Secondary DLE Models from the view of the administrator (administrator "look-fors"). Training includes topics such as DLE Program Benchmarks (Elem); Bilingual Pairs & Groups (Elem & Sec); Language of the Day (Elem); Bilingual Print-Rich Environments (Elem); Bilingual Word Walls (Sec); Challenging, Interactive and Authentic (CIA) Lessons (Elem & Sec); Bilingual Learning Centers (Elem); Bilingual Research Centers (Elem & Sec). NOTE: All trainings are Central Standard Time (CST).
Half-Day or Online Administrator Training on the
Gómez & Gómez Elementary and/or Secondary DLE Model
(Morning: 8-11am, 9-12pm or Afternoon: 1-4pm)
